Anne L. Grauer received her Ph.D. in biological anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Her research interests include paleopathology (the study of ancient human disease) and bioarchaeology (specifically the study of human skeletal remains in archaeological contexts ). In particular, Dr. Grauer's research interests focus on the lives of women and the impact that sex and gender have on morbidity and mortality.
