The Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor position in biological anthropology to begin Fall 2021, with the possibility of renewal. We seek scholars who are engaged in research in any area of biological anthropology and have a strong teaching record.

Candidates will be expected to teach two courses per semester during the 2021-22 Academic Year. Areas of expertise of particular interest include human biology, human ecology, growth and development, nutritional anthropology, neurobiology and anthropological demography. Candidates must be able to teach courses in Evolutionary Medicine and Nutritional Anthropology along with two focused on their area of expertise. They must also be willing to mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates must further have a doctoral degree, a strong research record, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching.
