The AAPA Education Committee is primarily concerned with facilitating engagement of K-12 students and public audiences with biological anthropology education activities. The Committee organizes visits to local schools and/or informal science venues during the annual AAPA meeting, engaging students and museum or other visitors in hands-on activities that focus in part on the collection of primate and hominin casts owned by the AAPA. Committee members also often coordinate to propose an education-related poster session at the annual AAPA meeting.
