The Department of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a high calibre and dynamic anthropologist to join an academic team which is recognised internationally for its research through the Centre for Research in Evolutionary and Environmental Anthropology (CREEA). The person appointed will have an excellent track record and potential for future interdisciplinary research of international excellence, which bridges biological and social anthropology, and complements other research in CREEA.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Assistant professor) in Anthropology (1.00FTE) – HR Ref No: HR 103/12

Salary (Grade RU08 – RU09) from £36,301 to £47,566 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance of £3,400 per annum.

The Department offers a unique undergraduate programme in anthropology in regard to its breadth, combining both biological and social anthropology, and exploring their similarities and differences. It also offers an MRes in Primate Biology, Behaviour and Conservation, and graduate training up to PhD level.
The successful candidate is expected to deliver research-led, student-centred teaching, and be able to contributing to the teaching of a broad curriculum in anthropology as described above. S/he will also be expected to be engaged in undergraduate/masters/PhD project supervision and fieldwork, and contribute to departmental duties. For an application form and further details please see:
