University of Colorado, Colorado Springs seeks a scholar with a research focus on contemporary human populations and/or applied human biological research. Teaching responsibilities will include a core introductory course in biological anthropology, upper division courses in areas of expertise, and also a four-field senior level capstone seminar (taught in rotation with other department faculty).

The UCCS Department of Anthropology offers a strong four-field undergraduate curriculum with a developing emphasis on applied anthropology in both teaching and research. There is currently no graduate program, and faculty typically involve undergraduates in their research and publication. This will be the sixth tenure-track position in the department. Teaching load is typically five courses per year. Applicants must have completed the PhD by the time of hire.
