The Department of Anthropology of the University at Albany (SUNY) seeks a Lecturer (non-tenure track) in Physical Anthropology to serve as the Laboratory Director for a large and growing pre-health undergraduate major in Human Biology. The Lecturer will be responsible for organizing, teaching and managing laboratory sections of physical anthropology classes including Introduction to Human Evolution and Anatomy & Physiology. The Lecturer will also assist with the advising of Human Biology majors. This is a teaching position, but applicants possessing a research interest in physical anthropology are welcome.

The successful candidate must either hold a Doctoral degree, or be ABD with the expectation that the doctoral degree will be completed within one year of the start of the appointment. Degrees must be from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer, $40,000
