Mercer University School of Medicine, Division of Basic Medical Sciences, Macon, GA invites applications for a salaried, twelve-month, non-tenure-track position in Anatomy at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in education, will participate in human development and anatomy instruction in both Master of Science and M.D. program curricula of the School, and will have the opportunity to pursue scholarly activity. Applicants should have a doctoral degree, including training in human anatomy and developmental biology. Preference will be given to individuals with dissection-based gross anatomy training, and teaching experience in human development and anatomy.

Mercer University School of Medicine Macon campus is located one hour south of Atlanta and is a community-based medical school with approximately 350 full- and part-time teaching faculty and 240 medical students. The School’s mission is to educate physicians and health professionals to meet the primary care and health care needs of rural and medically underserved areas of Georgia.  Master of Science programs in Preclinical Sciences (1 yr, non-thesis degree) and Biomedical Sciences (2-yr, thesis degree) will begin on the Macon campus in August 2012.
