The School of Medicine seeks a faculty member for appointment as Instructor, non-tenure track, with primary appointment in the Department of Pathology and secondary appointment in the Department of Anatomy. The Instructor will work as an integral member of the Anatomy teaching faculty team.

Responsibilities will include teaching of neuroanatomy and gross anatomy to medical students and students in the Applied Anatomy graduate program. The Instructor will also contribute to administrative activities related to the Anatomy curriculum and will serve as a member of the graduate program admissions committee. Additional duties will include the advising and assessment of students.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or an M.D. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience in the anatomical sciences

The Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is recruiting an established scientist studying the experimental physiology of the musculoskeletal system. This individual will receive a tenured appointment at the Associate/Full Professor level in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the College of Medicine. 

The ideal candidate will be an individual with a successful research program in the broad area of musculoskeletal experimental biology including in vivo research on system performance (e.g., feeding system), neurophysiology of motor programs, kinematic and biomechanical assessments of anatomical variation, evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders and related areas. She/he will have an established and active portfolio of funded projects from major federal sponsors including the NIH and NSF or major relevant research foundations. The successful candidate will also contribute to the education and service missions of the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology and NEOMED. In particular, she/he will contribute to instruction in medical gross anatomy, and must have demonstrated teaching experience in this area. 

The individual will become an active participant in NEOMED's Skeletal Biology Research Focus Area (http://www.neomed.edu/research/researchfocus/skeletal-biology), a group that includes Ph.D. and M.D. researchers/clinicians interested in the skeleton at all organizational levels, from molecules to cells to organisms, from embryonic development to aging, and from clinical to evolutionary sciences. Research programs that interact with the department's neuroscience researchers are desirable.

The Section of Anatomy at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is seeking applicants for a full time (12 month) tenure track faculty position in Gross Anatomy at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Teaching duties are shared within the Section and include courses in Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology, and Oral Biology. The candidate is expected to direct either the Gross Anatomy or Histology course and participate in additional teaching. Candidates are also expected to possess a strong research portfolio to establish an independent research program, or to actively participate and/or collaborate in ongoing research areas supported by the School. Available research equipment is significant and includes instrumentation for confocal microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, RT-PCR and HPLC.

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
