The Department of Anatomy at Midwestern University (MWU), Glendale, Arizona, invites applications for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the College of Graduate Studies. Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required. A minimum of two years of post-doctoral experience and evidence of an emerging research program (e.g, peer-reviewed publications related to doctoral or post-doctoral work and grant applications) is expected. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and is competitive based on national pay scales.

Departmental teaching responsibilities include team-taught courses in the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and Colleges of Dentistry, Optometry, Health Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine. Courses include: gross anatomy, neuroscience, histology, and embryology. Previous teaching experience in gross anatomy is strongly preferred, and additional teaching experience in embryology, histology, or neuroscience is desirable.

Faculty are expected to develop and maintain a productive research program in biology, biomedical sciences, or education in the health sciences with the potential to attract extramural funding. Startup funds, lab space, shared hard-money research staff, core instrumentation, and a growing collection of zoological specimens are available. Successful applicants will join a vibrant and diverse department whose research strengths include: vertebrate paleontology and paleoanthropology; comparative vertebrate morphology and biomechanics; and translational neuroscience and reproductive biology. There are also opportunities for collaborative research with faculty in various departments and colleges across the Glendale and Downers Grove campuses.
