Job Description: The Departments of Anthropology and Biology at the University at Albany seek to fill a joint line at the Clinical Assistant Professor level (non-tenure track) to teach in the Human Biology major which is a large applied health major. The incumbent will teach courses in the Human Biology major including the two-semester class in Anatomy and Physiology (lecture sections), and Human Population Biology, as well as other lower division courses preferably in the areas of Human Genetics, and/or Microbiology. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to be involved in student mentoring and service-related activities in the Human Biology program.

The position is defined as a teaching position (non-tenure track, 10 month appointment) and the incumbent will teach three courses per semester. The initial appointment will be for two years, followed by on-going three year contracts.

Requirements: • Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology or Biology from a university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.
